The government has appointed
Professor Dr Bishwambher
Pyakuryal and Professor Dr
Parthibeshwar Prasad
Timilsina as board members
of
Nepal Rastra bank (NRB)
for a period of five years.
A government official told
the Post that the decision
to this effect was taken by
the cabinet meeting held
last week. The two were
appointed after the
five-year term of Pradeep
Kumar Shrestha, former
president of Federation of
Nepalese Chambers of
Commerce and Industry and Dr
Parashar Koirala associated
with the faculty of
Management of the Tribhuvan
University, terminated on
January end. Dr Pyakuryal,
professor of Economics at
Tribhuvan University (TU),
has been teaching and
supervising Masters and
Doctoral students since last
three decades. He did his
masters and Ph.D. in
Economics from TU.
