Nabil bank
simultaneously
inaugurated nine new
branches electronically
Monday. According to Nabil
Banks press statement, this
is the first time in the
history of banking in Nepal
that a bank simultaneously
inaugurated more than one
new branches in one
function. The branches that
were inaugurated today were
Birtamod, Damak , Hetauda,
Narayanghat, Baglung,
Ghorahi Tulsipur, Dhangadi
and Mahendranagar. Satyandra
P. Shrestha, the chairman of
Nabil Bank, and its
directors inaugurated the
branches at a press of a
button, which electronically
opened each of the branches.
Shrestha in a press
statement stated, Nabil Bank
is committed to increasing
the reach of formal banking
services right across the
nation". Anil Shah, Nabil
Bank Chief Executive
officer, stated, The opening
of the nine new branches
exemplifies our commitment
to our customers by
continuously enhancing our
level of service delivery to
our valued customers through
the enhancement of our
branch network". The opening
of these branches completes
the first phase of the
bank's branch network
strategy. With the addition
of nine new branches, Nabil
now boasts of 28 branches
across Nepal.
