Development Credit Bank
Ltd (DCBL) is all set to start operations as grade ‘A’ commercial bank from May 25. Started operations from February 1, 2001 as a development bank, DCBL will be the first such bank to be upgraded into a commercial bank, according to a press release. DCBL has a paid-up capital of Rs 1.10 billion, the largest among the commercial banks. It plans to increase its paid-up capital to Rs 2 billion by mid-July 2010.
