The nearly 12-year-old Ace finance company announced on Monday that it has recently been upgraded to Ace Development Bank Ltd. At a press conference on Monday, Siddhant Raj Pandey, Managing Director and CEO of Ace Development Bank, said that this was the first such instance in Nepal a finance company had been upgraded to a national-level development bank. The company also raised its paid up capital from Rs 90 million to Rs 320 million for the new status. Pandey informed that the bank would be opening a branch in Birgunj within a few weeks and another was planned for the year to reach a wider range of customers. "As a development bank, we will continue our clear focus on customer satisfaction, good governance and social responsibility towards our sustained growth. With the upgrade and a larger platform, I can proudly state that opportunities will continue for us in banking based on innovation and integrity," he said.
